Play PokémonGo while enjoying your vacations in the Caribbean

Shorts, sandals, sunglasses and mobile fully charged is all you need to begin your path as a Pokémon trainer in our resorts.

We are all part of the recent fever of the Nintendo application that combines augmented reality with the thrill of adventure and emerges the desire as a child that we had to catch them all. That’s why Catalonia Hotels & Resorts gives you this practical guide to enjoy our resorts and also have fun while catching Pokémon.

Before you come to the Resort

 

  • Get the latest version: Currently, the latest version of Pokémon Go is 1.01, it’s safer and crashes less.
  • Bring an external battery: In your journey, you may discover that is not enough to have a fully charged battery, you’ll need an external charger of 10,000 amperes so you can capture Pokémon during the whole day without running out of battery just when a Charmander appears. In case you don’t have one, don’t worry, you can configure your phone to save battery. What to do? Decrease the screen brightness, set your phone in silence mode, close all the Apps you are not using and turn off the Bluetooth. 
  • Active Battery Saving mode: Enter the Settings section of the game and select “Battery Saver”. This will help you consume less battery while you catch Pokémon.
  • Use sunscreen: You might want to go through all the Resort while you’re playing, so we recommend using sunscreen to avoid getting home as a Magmar. 
  • Poke-stock up supplies: Be sure to bring plenty of Poke balls, big balls, or Ultra balls, lures and a large enough virtual bag to bring everything you need to play.

 

 

 

In the resort

We give you some tips to enjoy the most while looking Pokémon in paradise.

  • Look for the signs: Nearby there is a Pokémon.
  • Check the tracker: It is located in the lower right corner of the app, it’ll help you to know how close the Pokémon are. Each footprint is approximately 100 meters.
  • Fight in gyms: It is a simple way to earn 100px guaranteed if you lose or win the battle. If you win you’ll get 150px.
  • Use new skills: It’s not just sliding your finger on the screen; you must be clever using your skills. A green ring means it will be easy, yellow it will be a moderate battle and with red, you’ll have to try harder because it’s going to be difficult to catch the Pokémon you found.

 

 

Are you tired of walking? Visit our bars in the beach to refresh yourself with a drink or to recharge energy with a delicious crepe.

Do not confuse our friendly wildlife fellow with Pokémon, no matter how many poke balls you throw, they will not agree to enter.

Finally, let us give you another little trick to make your training successful. Note that getting new items is essential, find eggs and incubate them, you’ll get rare Pokémon.
