Catalonia Playa Maroma is characterized by its beautiful beach, the lush gardens and constant entertainment for the whole family, but we can’t help mention its diverse cuisine.
This time, we’ll take you on a journey through the à la carte restaurants available at our Resort and in which you’ll taste delicious dishes and enjoy the excellent service you deserve.
Since we don’t handle reservations in these restaurants, everyone has the same opportunity to choose their favorite place.
A taste of the Mediterranean
Go to Toscana Restaurant where you’ll enjoy the best Italian specialties in a sophisticated place full of design. Completely air conditioned and with the option of comfortable chair’s table or booths, it’s a great place to enjoy a romantic but relaxed night.
For the first course let’s order the Zuppa di cozze delicious mussels sauteed with white wine and tomato served with crunchy bread. Maybe we crave something lighter, another good option is the Insalata di Campo which is a mixed of lettuce with tomato, mushrooms, cucumber, celery and carrots, seasoned with Italian vinaigrette, an excellent option for this hot weather, huh?
It’s time for the main course and we can’t miss trying some delicious pasta accompanied with one of the Chef’s special sauces. How about some Spaghetti Bolognese, Seafood Ravioli or Penne Alfredo? Maybe we are craving for meat, so a great option would be the Ossobuco alla Milanese, a traditional cooked dish made of beef with wine sauce and perfumed with lemon potatoes. So many options, right?
So you wanna feel Mexican
We definitely can’t visit Mexico and not eating their delicious and exotic cuisine. That’s why we have to go to Tio Pedro Restaurant, located outdoors and in a casual atmosphere allowing us to enjoy the night. To light the switch of the night, let’s have some tequila or maybe a refreshing pina colada.
As an appetizer, we crave Melted Cheese with Spanish sausage and mushrooms, served with guacamole and warm flour tortillas. Not Mexican enough? how about a Tortilla Soup which is a succulent tomato bouillon with “epazote” essence, accompanied with fresh cheese, avocado, dry chili, cream and corn chips.
To continue the experience a Fish Filet “Veracruzana” Style, cooked with aromatic herbs, covered with bell peppers, olives, and tomato sauce, served with coriander rice and mashed plantain sounds like an excellent option. Someone also recommends us the Mixed Fajitas grilled beef, chicken & pork strips, with onions and bell peppers, accompanied with guacamole and jalapeno peppers, served with flour tortillas, so let’s share! Buen provecho!
We are meat lovers
It’s said that Tortuga Grill Restaurant has the best beef cuts. It’s fully air conditioned and as soon as we walk through the main door beautiful bar welcomes and invites us to enjoy a variety of cocktails to start the night.
Begin with a delicious Potato Skins au gratin with cheddar and bacon or an exquisite Clam Chowder perfumed with bell pepper oil.
For the main course how about a juicy Mexican marinated and grilled Flank Steak, or perhaps a Surf & Turf kebab grilled with chimichurri?
Now we are ready for the best part of every meal: Dessert! so some fresh Seasonal Fruit served with lemon sorbet sounds like the perfect ending for this gourmet delight.

A splendid choice to call it a perfect night is visiting the Terrace Tapas Lounge & Bar with its breathtaking view. Let’s be sure to get an outdoor table to enjoy it.
On the menu, we see many different tapas from diverse regions of Spain like Galicia, Andalucia, Castilla, Cataluña… Too many options! Let’s get one of them all.
- Lacon Ahumado: Smoked Pork Loin over egg sauce, and crispy potato, Pulpo a la brasa: Octopus with vegetables to the grill, seasoned with paprika and olive oil.
- Bocata de Calamares: Mini sandwich of fried squids rings and tartar sauce, Montadito de Cangrejo: Crab meat salad over toasted bread, topped with alfalfa sprouts.
- Patatas Bravas: Fried potato cubes with slightly spicy sauce.
- Crujiente de Verduras: Crispy pastries stuffed with curry vegetables.
